Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard Joins Fox News, Kicks Off With Broadside Against Censorship Collusion

Former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, a one-time Democrat candidate for President, has signed a deal as a paid contributor to Fox News.

A representative for the network confirmed the deal to the Los Angeles Times Monday and indicated that Gabbard will start appearing on programs as early as next week in her new role.

The former Representative from Hawaii ran for the Democrat nomination for President in 2020, but has been distancing herself from the party for some time since.

Her transformation culminated in an announcement that she was leaving the party last month. On the way out the door, she blasted her colleagues as being controlled by “warmongers” who stoke anti-white racism and are possessed by “cowardly wokeness.”

In her announcement, Gabbard accused her former party of demonizing law enforcement while “protect(ing) criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans,” and said Democrats “believe in open borders” and are willing to “weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents.”

Tulsi Gabbard Officially Joins Fox News

If you’ve been watching Fox News of late, you’d know the addition of Tulsi Gabbard to their stable of paid contributors is of little surprise.

She has been making appearances on some of its most-watched shows, such as “The Five” and “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” even filling in for the host of the latter program.

But, she has resisted actually joining the Republican Party despite aligning with the GOP on domestic and cultural issues, and has even leaned toward an America-first attitude in opposing the administration and Congress’s efforts to aid Ukraine with military funding in their ongoing war effort with Russia.

Gabbard is a decorated veteran of the Iraq War, having earned the Combat Medical Badge and the Meritorious Service Medal for her service.

Gabbard Says White House Working With Big Tech Means There is ‘No Democracy’

The Los Angeles Times report does not indicate the terms of Fox News’ agreement with Tulsi Gabbard, whether related to timeframe for her contributions or payment.

She kicked things off with a bang on Monday as guest host for Tucker Carlson, turning Democrats’ election-time argument on its head by stating collusion between the White House and Big Tech firms means an end to democracy.

“As long as the Democratic Party and the permanent Washington elite are working hand in hand with Google and Facebook … literally manipulating the information that we as voters are allowed to see, then there is no democracy,” she explained.

Still, she urged Democrats and Republicans to work together going forward on behalf of the American people, something that seems unlikely given the fact that the former has labeled the latter as domestic terrorists and pro-Russia extremists.

Prior to joining Fox News as a paid contributor, Tulsi Gabbard has called out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul for his “rigged” stock purchases.

A financial disclosure showed Paul Pelosi made a million-dollar stock purchase in semiconductor company NVIDIA, buying 20,000 shares ahead of a congressional vote to provide a $52 billion subsidy increasing U.S. manufacturing of computer chips.

“What we’re seeing here is the same thing that I saw when I was in Congress — is this blatant corruption being exposed in broad daylight — the system is rigged,” Gabbard said.

Gabbard has also suggested President Biden will be remembered as “worse than Jimmy Carter” in part because of his recklessness in pushing America toward nuclear war with Russia.

She has taken aim at a ‘domestic terror’ bill proposed by Adam Schiff, saying it would target “half of the country,” and called on Biden to denounce efforts to weaponize the Justice Department against political opponents.

The Hawaii Democrat’s track record in trashing her party for being woke is extensive as well.

In a prior appearance with Carlson, she hammered House Democrats for eliminating gendered language from the official House rules.

“It’s the height of hypocrisy for people who claim to be the champions of rights for women to deny the very biological existence of women,” she criticized.

And the former Democrat previously appeared on Fox News to discuss legislation she authored which would force Title IX to be applied based on a person’s biological sex. 

Her legislation “was created out of this recognition that there is a biological distinction between men and women and boys and girls and … because of that there needs to be a level playing field for girls and women to be able to compete and play in sports,” she explained.

Gabbard campaigned for president as an opponent of U.S. military interventionism and, after dropping her presidential bid in March of 2020, endorsed Joe Biden.

Perhaps in her next appearance on Fox News, she can outline just what exactly she was thinking at the time.
